About Us

Hey-I suppose music has been my passion for a long time…. in fact, all my life! God has been good and gracious enough to wait for me to discover that he should be, and for some time has been, my true passion and so the two have merged together over the years!

I’ve been writing songs, singing, leading worship in many forms for as long as I can remember. Over the last few years God has challenged me to focus on writing songs for corporate worship- songs that will both serve him and others.

Aloha, I'm matt, i'm controller of all things drums in the band with the odd hint of some fine glockenspiel! I grew up as part of the infamous Dukes of Tullyroan, and am now in the process of getting married to Miss Stephanie Smith! (yeo!). My life is in Gods hands and i believe he has a purpose for my life, at the minute playing drums and making music with MFB is a big part of that! Just got a degree in Music Tech at Queens and now deciding what next to do! Bring it on!

Right now my artist playlist consists of: Hillsong United, Fleet Foxes, Snow Patrol, Coldplay, Death Cab, Sigur Ros, Sufjan Stevens and David Crowder Band. I guess i love anything that makes me sit up and listen, the crazier the better!

Hey ya, well im da basser in da band and the baby (but controversially also the tallest). Started playing bass cause that was about the only instrument matt didn’t play at the time. Been playing bass for about 6 years now in various worship settings from church, to school and mfb. I feel God has really blessed me with this gift and the opportunity to play with such awesome guys. Just turned 18 and am about to start studying architecture at fancy uub. Not sure wat all you’re supposed to put in “about us”.

Since matt stole all the good bands that we listen to for his section I’m gona base my list on another passion in my life. So right now my major food passions are my awesome mint cheesecake (only cheesecake that doesn’t taste like cheese); chicken, stuffing and coleslaw sandwiches; and baby back ribs with bbq sauce. (just noticed that I’ve written as much about food as band :-S)
